This sounds like an interesting read. Lessons of marketing:

1. “There is more opportunity and innovation happening in our industry right now than ever before.” Its true. There is not one fail-proof way of marketing, innovation is key.

2. “[C]onsumers don’t know what they want.” If you did not watch the Ted Talk I posted a few months ago you definitely should. Malcolm Gladwell and spaghetti sauce. (http://www.ted.com/talks/malcolm_gladwell_on_spaghetti_sauce.html) Consumers are great indicators of what they know, but not necessarily of what they want in the future, or what would be a good replacement of what they have now. That’s what we are for; the marketers, innovators, strategists, and entrepreneurs. It is an exciting time for MARKETING!
